Capturing a moment.

As I have created this blog to essentially capture moments which I wish to remember (also as a successful photography student) i have decided to share three of my top hints and tips to capturing that moment in its strongest element! 

  1. always think of the angle your taking the photo. Depending on the subject your taking by slightly adjusting the camera angle it can create a very dramatic finish to your outcome.
  2. what is your light source? a personal favorite of mine is being out in the sun, with the subject blocking the light, this creates "a summer glow" which features in a lot of my photography. However, this isn't always the case, especially at family celebrations. Don't be afraid to use a flash if the image is too dark but also its good to remember that sometimes a soft light is more effective that switching on a harsh artificial lamp.
  3. Don't stress! Last but not least! this is actually probably one of the most important aspects with photography, many of the most famous and memorable photographs are taken in the moment. By over prepping and adjusting a scene for your photograph it takes away the personal effect photographs have.
